Nestled along the south bank of the Thames, the 5-star smoke-free Rafayel Hotel & Spa London provides guests with a swimming pool, a fitness centre, and a French restaurant on site. Located approximately a 10-minute ride from such shopping venues as the perennially crowded Harrods, this London hotel has 36 rooms near a train station.
Location
The hotel is nestled in the Battersea district of London, within a 6-km distance of the buzzing Theatre-district Piccadilly Circus Square and within a 7-km distance of the famous British Museum. Natural attractions in the area include St James's Park, nearly a 15-minute drive from the Rafayel London, and a beach is only 600 metres away.
Guests might as well visit South Park, which is about a 5-minute ride away. Located 4.7 km from the accommodation, the Protestant Westminster Abbey is open for visiting by worshippers and tourists.
Rooms
The contemporary rooms in Rafayel Hotel & Spa have a flat-screen TV with satellite channels and Wi-Fi along with blackout curtains and air conditioning. The bedrooms come with double beds. Guests have access to a bidet, a separate toilet, and a shower, as well as comforts like a hair dryer and dressing gowns provided in the luxurious bathrooms. The rooms of the Rafayel overlook the river.
Eat & Drink
The onsite restaurant offers European dishes. There is also a lounge bar. You may walk 5 minutes to Banyan on the Thames or eat by ZuZu Grill, located just a 5-minute walk away.
Leisure & Business
This London hotel offers such treatments as a steam room, a Jacuzzi, and a sauna.
“Rafayel Hotel & Spa presents a curious mix of upscale aspirations and practical shortcomings. Its riverside location and proximity to Battersea Park offer appealing access to London, though some noise from the restaurant and nearby heliport may intrude. I noted the eco-friendly design and spa facilities as definite positives, but be prepared for a somewhat quirky and not always well-maintained experience.”

bus stop simple getting vending machine coffee setup
the bus stop outside made getting around simple.
I found the vending machine coffee setup surprisingly underwhelming. I expected a proper coffee maker (or at least instant coffee). it felt a bit cheap for the price.

acceptable stay, some issues.
bathroom fittings disabled access
the room was of a good size.
I encountered an issue with a disabled access room upgrade. The bathroom fittings were not suited, and the room lacked a mirror, that was very inconvenient.

Romantic Thameside Retreat, An Lovely Stay
divine location effortless journey included breakfast
The location was divine, right on the Thames! A city bus stop in front provided effortless journeys to the heart of everything. The breakfast buffet was amazing!!! It was included and started each day perfectly. A restaurant and lounge on the river offered romantic spots.
Our room was on the second floor, facing the Thames, yet it remained quite cold. Even with the heating at its maximum, the room struggled to reach a comfortable warmth. It was a bit disappointing considering the otherwise beautiful setting.
Service
9/10
Room service addressed requests promptly and with care. Staff members were available whenever I needed assistance. My bags were also taken to my room.
Facilities
9/10
The large room included dressing gowns and slippers for extra comfort after a spa visit. Spa access was usually quiet, feeling private. The big shower provided a refreshing experience.
Dining
10/10
I enjoyed the opportunity to order delicious food to my room at any time. Two complimentary bottles of water were provided, such a thoughtful touch. The restaurant offered a nice buffet breakfast.

relaxing thameside retreat
food ordering quiet atmosphere thames view
i appreciated the option to order food to my room after a long day. it was quiet, and the view of the thames was a bonus. the room was spacious and very clean (i made good use of the coffee maker). complimentary water bottles were provided.
the main entrance closes at 10 pm due to security, requiring guests to use a less obvious rear entrance. i wish they had communicated this better during check-in because it took me some time to find my way around the building.
Facilities

i found the staff cute and helpful, right. the spacious room was a lovely surprise , it provided ample space for relaxation and felt wonderfully clean. i enjoyed the hotel's location right by the thames , it added an extra layer of charm to my stay.
i noticed the soundproofing wasn't entirely effective, as i could hear some noise from outside at times. it was slightly disruptive, especially during quieter hours, but i hope they will find a solution.
